Recycle System for Optical Grinding Process
A manufacturer of piezoelectric and frequency control devices discharged grinding fluids and other wastes into an in-ground leaching bed. Since no sewers were available, ERA designed a recycle system to eliminate the discharge without compromising stringent water purity standards for the manufacturing process. ERA studied the manufacturing process to reduce contaminant loadings and the overall volume of wastewater generated. ERA conducted laboratory and pilot scale tests of the recycling treatment process to insure compatibility with the manufacturing process before designing and installing the full scale system.
