Action Items

Some upcoming regulatory deadlines*

Each month:

  • Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMR).
  • Calculate 1 month and 12 month rolling average air emissions by the 15th.

 

Quarterly:

  • CEM excess emission report for Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP) by the 30th day of the end of the calendar quarter.

 

Annual and semiannual anniversaries:

  • Emission reports for chemicals (TSCA, NESHAPS, etc.), 40 CFR Part 63.
  • Storm water General Permit compliance monitoring reports.
  • Discharge reports for noncategorical dischargers to POTW.
  • Compliance Certification for Title V Operating Permits.

 

January:

  • Postmarked by 1/30 –written report of excess emissions measured by CEMS for preceding 6 months.

 

February:

  • Annual report of surface water withdrawals to MA per Water Management Act.

 

March:

     By 3/1:

  • Groundwater monitoring summary for RCRA monitoring programs.
  • Biennial or annual (if required by state) report for hazardous waste generators.
  • Tier I or Tier II reports to State Emergency Response Commission (SERC), Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and the Local Fire Department for Community Right-to-Know (EPCRA SARA Title III).

 

     By 3/15:

  • By 3/15, annual emission report for Restricted Emission Status (RES) air permit holders.

 

April:

     By 4/1:

  • Submit Air Emission Statement and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) for CT.

 

     By 4/15:

  • Air Source Registration/Emission Statement and Greenhouse Gas report due for MA
  • Air Emission Inventory and Greenhouse Gas report due for RI

Annual air pollutant and Greenhouse gas emissions by new and existing sources must be reported to the state. Good recordkeeping during the year, detailed records and lengthy calculations are needed to properly complete the forms for submittal.
